Walking with Jeanne across the European Parliament’s grey carpets you notice other women greeting her like one member of a secret society revealing herself to another

Jeanne Ponté collected instances of sexual assaults in the European Parliament in a small booklet. When this became public, the Parliament immediately wanted to change everything, but did almost nothing. This is a story of comfortable torpor – one year after #MeToo

Jeanne and her colleagues are well known figures in Parliament. They collect signatures against sexism, arrange meetings with the president and use their own distribution lists to issue invitations to press conferences.
